The Lord Will Repay

"But God was with [Joseph] and delivered him out of all his troubles, and gave him favor and wisdom ... "
~ Acts 7:9-10 (NKJV)

And David said ... "Let him alone, and let him curse; for so the LORD has ordered him. It may be that the LORD will look on my affliction, and that the LORD will repay me with good for his cursing this day."
~ 2 Samuel 16:11-12 (NKJV)

Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the LORD delivers him out of them all.
~ Psalms 34:19 (NKJV)

We are facing tough times that are likely to get worse before they get better. God always uses afflictions to work good in the lives of His children, and all deliverance comes from Him, regardless of who or what it comes through.

Unscrupulous people will use hard times to take advantage of the weak, whether they are weak of body or resources. If the righteous suffer at the hands of the unrighteous, it is unfruitful to become angry or bitter. The Lord will repay both the righteous and the unrighteous in due time.

Father, You are our Protector, Provider and Deliverer. In all circumstances, You work good for those who love You. Please help us to keep our eyes and hearts on You, and to respond in all circumstances as honors and glorifies You. Help us to patiently trust in You.
