But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. (Matthew 24:43 NKJV)
Death has been conquered—eternal death of spirit. The day yet lies in the future when no human will face physical death. In the meantime, for each of us is appointed an unexpected hour when physical life will be taken from us. There was a day when I gave this life to my Maker. Do I live every day as if it is His? Do I live every day ready to walk away from those I love without regret? I fear I am far too selfish. Each day is a puff of breath that quickly passes away.
My Creator, thank You for each day I have to live for You and die to Self for others. Please keep me mindful of how short my time is. Please fill me with Your Spirit so every day will count in eternity.
