Can’t Not Bless

The LORD said, "If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes." ... Then [Abraham] said, "... Suppose ten should be found there?" And He said, "I will not destroy it for the sake of ten." ... Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 18:26,32; 19:24 NKJV)

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem ... How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate. ... You shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ " (Matthew 23:37-39 NKJV)

There is a saying among writers, "I can’t not write," for we feel words must come out of us like a baby must be birthed. The righteous can’t not bless the Lord. We may not start out that way, but eventually, the praise that wells up within us must come out, or the rocks themselves would sing.

Satan’s goal is that we curse God and die (Job 1:11; 2:5,9). God searches throughout the earth for the righteous who bless Him—so He may bless in return (2 Ch.16:9).

Blessed are You, O Lord YHWH our God, King of the Universe and Eternity! Please put blessing in the mouths of those in Jerusalem—blessing for Your Son sent in Your name—so we might witness His return there.
