You May Have Life

And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. (John 20:30-31 NKJV)

Jesus said to [Mary], "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father." (John 20:16-17 NKJV)

"For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth;
And after my skin is destroyed, this I know,
That in my flesh I shall see God,
Whom I shall see for myself,
And my eyes shall behold, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!"

(Job 19:25-27 NKJV)

This is life in heaven: to own peace that cannot be disturbed, in the absence of anxiety; to eternally fulfill one's purpose of glorifying God and have consummate joy in it; to love without condition and know love unconditionally; to live forever in the sight of my Maker.

This is resurrection life on earth: to own peace that cannot be disturbed—in the face of anxiety; to fulfill one's eternal purpose of glorifying God and have consummate joy in it; to love without condition and know unconditional love; to live forever in the presence of my Maker.

You may have life without clinging to the day when Jesus is seen in the flesh. You may have life in His name—the resurrection life of a new creation—by believing in all Jesus is and looking to Him in all things.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the great love which laid down Your life to give it to us. Please draw us to abide in Your presence, and to have Your Word abide in us. Please teach us to allow anxieties of this world fade when we look to You. Please give us patience for the day when we see You in the flesh in the absence of all anxiety.
