Anointed and Empowered
Isaiah 61 prophesies of the Messiah and describes the ministry for which His Father anointed and empowered Him.
If you'll read it carefully, I do not think you'll find anything here that does not describe the ministry for which we are also anointed and empowered with the Spirit of the Lord.
Father in Heaven, thank You for the anointing with Your Spirit. Thank You for the power entrusted to us. Please quicken our own spirits and strengthen our souls to understand and to do all You will through us.

ReplyDeleteThe more I understand that we are to truly be Christ on earth through the Spirit, the more I feel the weight of that responsibility, while at the same time I am aware of the fact that the Lord does not ask anything He does not empower, and that He has immeasureable blessing He intends to give in our faithfulness.
Stay the course, my sisters!
