At the very core of every human being is the need for love — to be highly valued by another above physical needs and riches and power; to be shown compassion; to be known and permitted to know another. The embodiment of purest love is found in Christ Jesus our Lord, God Himself come to earth as Man so we could know love. To those who are His Own, God grants love so great that it "passes knowledge" yet makes itself known — love so almighty that it is overcome by no other power. This love is blissfully mine when I seek Him with all my heart (Jeremiah 29:13).
