"His blood be on us and on our children." (Matthew 27:25 NKJV)
You were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. (1 Peter 1:18-19 NKJV)
The Lamb’s blood is on every human. Either our hands are stained with guilt for it, or it has covered and redeemed us. My children inherit the guilt of bloodshed. They certainly receive my aimless conduct. May I not fail to faithfully convey to them my faith, that they might also receive the covering of blood. It is a far more worthy inheritance than corruptible silver and gold.
Heavenly Father, You are perfect. We are not. Please empower us as parents to make You known.
To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father—to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
