What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:31-32 NKJV)
"All things" may sometimes mean suffering, but it always means blessing. Unlike people, who present the lesser gifts first and work our way up to the grand finale, God gave me His best gift first. He sent His precious baby Boy — His Lamb — to be cruelly rejected, abused, and crucified to take my place on death row. I am overcome with gratitude just to have been set free. To daily walk with and know my Lord and Savior is an honor of which I am unworthy. For God to go even further and be willing to give me "all things" so that such blessings may be used to glorify Him is high privilege and great pleasure I can only begin to appreciate on Earth.
